Te Hiringa Hauora is seeking to partner with organisation(s) to support and grow a social movement led by people with lived experience. The lived experience advocates will develop innovative initiatives to challenge prejudice and discrimination against people with experience of severe mental distress.
The new vision for Like Minds is a nation where all people uphold the mana and human rights of people who experience mental distress. The social movement will contribute to this vision by developing capacity to engage in a social movement to reduce prejudice and discrimination.
We are seeking organisations with a track record in social change to work with us to grow a Like Minds social movement.
Partner(s) must be either a Māori organisation, or a Tīriti-based partnership between a Māori organisation(s) and a non-Māori organisation(s). The organisation(s) must also be peer-led or employ a dedicated team of people with lived experience of mental distress to lead the work.
Te Hiringa Hauora would prefer to award the contract to just one organisation or partnership that has national reach.
